The beginning of a new year indicates the beginning of a new season and usually I set goals for the new season and try to commit to them. This year 2021 i am committed to forming new habits. One of the major things I nees change is in my diet. I need to make healthy choices.
I do not want to have a weightloss goal but I want to have a healthy lifestyle change. I do not want to go thenscale every day like i was doing in 2021. I hated my body but after some reflections in December I have come to have new respect for my body. I need to take better care of her for she takes good care of me. I do not want to starve her but I do not also want to indulge in crazy cravings that do not serve us.
To kickstart this journey I want to commit to controlling what i eat. I want to try and gain control of my diet. I have never succeeded in this regard but I want to try and prove to myself that I can do it, I am in control and that I am a focused young woman. I will keep a food journal and at the end of the day I want to try and review my feelings and the food I eat. I want to see if I can introduce new habits each day or maybe 1 habit for the rest of the month and stick to it.
I also want to do 5 Affirmations a day for self-love and self care. This should be able to help me to feel good about myself. I want to try and feel good naturally without having to rely on food for that good feeling. This should be like 5 minutes meditation every day for 30 days.
I also want to commit to a certain form of exercise. I can try to walk 1km a day. I have never done that before but i hope 1km a day should just make me feel like I did something until it becomes a new habit to exercise every day.
I hope I can make it. I will be having a weekly review whether i succeed or not but I want to try my best. I just want to be accountable for this journey and hopefully i get good results. I also hope that I will not focus on weight but habits 🥺
